SPINKO launches a robotic grinding cell for finishing HPDC aluminium castings

Robotic grinding cell designed for the finishing of HPDC aluminium castings.

The new solution supports precise machining of components with complex geometry, increases process repeatability, and reduces the variability typical of manual operations.

The cell combines an industrial robot with a dual-station belt grinding system. This configuration enables more precise control of edge and surface finishing, while also improving process stability at the finishing stage of the cast component.

The implementation of the robotic grinding cell translates into more consistent machining quality, greater predictability in production series execution, and better process control. The solution also supports improved working conditions for operators thanks to the enclosure of the workstation and the use of a dust extraction system.

The new solution increases process efficiency and strengthens SPINKO’s capabilities in delivering projects for the lighting, electrical engineering, and automotive industries. It is another step in the development of increasingly automated and predictable production processes in the field of aluminium castings.
